BlueFire Fishing Gear is perfect for beginners! Anyone can easily learn how to use it whether you're a kid or an adult. An all-in-one fishing starter pack includes all the gear you need to create wonderful memories with your family. The kit has a 62.9-inch (160 cm) telescopic fishing rod with spincast reel, a fully-stocked tackle box with gear, and travel bag. This is a perfect gift for young fishing enthusiasts! Fishing rod collapses to 16-inch (40 cm), it can be easily stored in the carrying bag for travel or on-the-go. The whole kit fits under a car seat, in the trunk or in a backpack. NO ASSEMBLY NEEDED! STEP 1: HOW TO set up 1. Mount the reel to the rod and check that the clamp collar is snug. 2. Thread the line through the eyelets. 3. Extend the rod and align the eyelets. Lightly extend each section and adjust each eyelet to line up with the reel. Once aligned, gently snug up each joint. 4. Collapse the rod by pushing and twisting the rod shaft at each joint. Do not use the eyelets for leverage. Tip: You can collapse the rod but leave the lure rigged for a quick deployment later. STEP 2: HOW TO cast a spinning reel 1. Use one hand to cast and the other to reel. 2. Trap the line against the spool with your fingertip for more control and accuracy. 3. If you release the line too early, your weight will shoot up in the air. 4. If you release the line too late, the weight will fly down into the ground. 5. After casting, flip over the bales by turning the handle. TEP 3: HOW TO CATCH a fish When fishing, remain alert. With lures or plastic worms, keep tension in the line and feel for a sudden tug. With a bobber, kick back and wait for it to drop If a fish bites quickly raise the rod tip and begin reeling. Keep the rod tip up and maintain tension in the line. If a big fish wants to run out line, let it go. As it swims back, reel quickly. When the fish gets close, grab the line with one hand to guide it to the bank. Do not use the rod to haul a big fish out of the water, as this may break your gear. Hold the fish with a wet hand. Remove the hood and snap a photo. Gently return the fish to the water or set it aside for dinner. EXTRA TIP: 3 WAYS TO RIG THE LINE 1. Lure: Retrieve at medium speed. 2. Plastic Worm: Retrieve slowly, pulling it along the bottom. Put - 18” (46 cm) of line between sinker and hook. 3. Live Bait: Use net to stockpile bait. Place bobber 12”-36” (30.5-91.5 cm) above hook.
